RAILWAY STATION

The arrival of the Railway to Dolores in 1874 categorized this city as the most important population center in southern Buenos Aires, becoming a "punta de rieles" (railhead) and a terminal station for carriages with services to the central and southern provinces.

The current station is the second one built and has been in place since 1879. This location was chosen to avoid diverting the railroad and potential flooding, as the original construction had experienced.

With double platforms and double tracks, its curvature and tree-lined surroundings make for a spectacular setting.

Located at kilometer 203 of the railway line, it is the intermediate station between Constitución and Mar del Plata.
